HOW TO USE THIS WEB SITE
Step I: Each State has a separate page devoted to data specific to
that State. You can see them listed below (you may have to move
down). These pages are the best place to start (e.g., in our case, try the Rajasthan page). If you are looking for a specific item of data (say, land alienation cases in Rajasthan), try the following steps:
Step II: There is a separate page for National Data. The data on this page is divided by subject. Most of the data charts compiled here give break ups of data by State, so even if you could not find a particular figure or data item on your State's page, you may find it on the National Data page. In our case, look at the State-wise chart for land alienation cases on the National Data page and see if it includes Rajasthan. Step III: Open the Updated List, which has a full list of the titles of all documents on the web site. Use your web browser to search this for any words of interest (in our case, "alienation"). Instructions for how to do this are on the Updated List page. Step IV: Try a search of the web site using the box below (e.g. in our case, type in "Rajasthan alienation"). This search is not reliable. Step V: Try the Useful Links page to see further data sources on the Internet, and the Further References page to see a bibliographic list of references on topics [under construction]. SAIP authors and editors can contact the project directly to request particular items of data. |
